Who are we? - A question that is hard or may even be impossible to answer in full. To start off with, each of us answered four questions.
Kyla Thomson |
I laugh a lot. I'm constantly amazed by all the beauty in the world. I still have so much more to learn. I am a good listener and I always remind myself to be positive. I'm laid-back and enjoy nature and connecting with people.
What motivates you to perform in the group?
Responsibility and the will to learn. I like to get things done so that it doesn't lead to a stressful situation.
What is knitting teaching you about yourself?
Knitting has taught me to not give up when I feel frustrated. I also realised that I am uncoordinated and easily bored.
What are you learning about yourself by being in a group?
I've realised that I'm easily affected by other people's energy and mood, so if I don't feel comfortable in a situation I withdraw.
How do you deal with people you find challenging?
I deal with challenging people by discussing the situation and sorting out the problem.

Humble, courteous, funny, kind, compassionate and loud, is the characteristics which best describe me. I am an artist, a party-animal, a sister, a daughter, and if i was an animal, I would be a cheetah. I am MEAGAN LISA RABIE, an independent young woman, who is striving to be the best I can be.
What motivates you to perform in the group?
I don't like letting people down and I don't do things to others that I don't want done to myself. That's where my motivation for working in a group comes from. I try my best to do what i need to do.
What is knitting teaching you about yourself?
It is teaching me that I don't have patience and hate struggling, but don't give up easily.
What are you learning about yourself by being in a group?
Working in a group has taught me that you need to be able to trust and rely on other people.
How do you deal with people you find challenging?
I just pray for strength and try to stay out of the way.

I like to think of myself as an easy-going, patient, friendly person. I am a deep thinker and can constantly be found staring into space. I ponder about life and try to take on different perspectives or sides of arguments. The picture is never just black and white and there are so many more intricate details than just what the eye can see. I have a deep set fear of failure, and although it sometimes gets me down and keeps me from trying, mostly it just motivates me to do my utter best.
I feel responsible for the group. As a leader but also like a mother, where my group is my little brood of chicks that I need to take care of.
What is knitting teaching you about yourself?
I enjoy knitting thoroughly and am taking it up as a hobby. I already know I love puzzles and other grandma-like things such as crossword puzzles and scrabble. I'm a not sure knitting has taught me anything that I don't know already.

What are you learning about yourself by being in a group?
Working in a group has taught me a lot, especially as I haven't had much experience with group work before. I learned that a group can function very well if everyone has a positive attitude and there is a leader or a good structure that guides the group. Group members need to follow a preset plan and need to check in with each other regularly otherwise everyone goes off in a different direction.
How do you deal with people you find challenging?
I must be honest, I struggle with this because I tend to avoid conflict and ignore the problem until it is too much to bear and the situation explodes
What motivates you to perform in the group?
What are you learning about yourself by being in a group?
We working together and we have a good
connection, I was not good at knitting but because of my group members they
made me to be perfect and to fall in love with knitting.
What is knitting teaching you about yourself?
Knitting teaches me about not to rush
things, to be calm or patient and that I can do it.
What are you learning about yourself by being in a group?
I can work with people who don’t have
same beliefs and religion as me, and I can participate in whatever we do as a group
How do you deal with people you find challenging?
If some people don’t want to work in the
group I just ignore them and do what I have to do I mean everyone have a
responsibility in a group.
